The John-John Ticket

This is the ticket that I have wanted since primary season began. I think John Kerry and John Edwards balance each other very well and this was easily the most formidable ticket to take on the Bush Administration (regime) in October.
Edwards is an excellent campaigner, very likeable, southern and has a "real guy" feel about him.
His campaign message of 'Two Americas' was one that I really embraced and the only reason I wanted Kerry as the nominee over Edwards was experience.
Edwards should match up brilliantly in debate with Cheney in October.
While I am not insanely liberal - I am a southern democract - I find this ticket to be very appealing.
The only negative thing I can say about the announcement is that I think Kerry should have drawn it out a little bit more. This will inevitably boost him in the polls for the interim, but I think if he had waited to just a bit closer to the DNC it could have possible dragged out interest. Of course, the fact that Kerry made the announcement without Edwards by his side should help make up for some of that because we are now waiting to see them together, hear Edwards speak etc...
It's also possible that the announcement was excellerated in an attempt to overshadow the media coverage of Kerry's recent quote on abortion. He stated over the weekend that he believes "life starts at conception" which started up the Pro-Life spin machine.
I am sure we'll hear about that statement again in the future, but for now, Kerry Edwards (The John John Ticket) is story #1 in the political universe.
This was a nice thing to hear this morning. KerryEdwards04!
